How do I actually surrender control?
Surrender is one of the most repeated Christian life and one of the hardest to do. We call it surrender when we say we have given something to God, and then we keep grabbing it back.
The financial worry. The family situation. Unresolved conflict.
We surrender on Sunday and reclaim it by Tuesday. Real surrender is not a one-time prayer. It is a daily practice. Every morning, you open your hands again. You name the things you are tempted to control. You give them to Him again. He never tires of receiving them.
The peace you long for lives on the other side of surrender. Not in the moment of saying the words, but in the practice of living them.
What are you trying to control today that you can release into His hands?
