Quote of the Day - Thinking True

How Do I Take My Thoughts Captive?

Your mind is often where the biggest battles take place.

The thoughts you focus on can shape how you feel and how you live each day.

Many women struggle with their thoughts without even noticing it.

Thoughts filled with worry.

Thoughts that put themselves down.

Thoughts that compare their lives with others.

Thoughts that hold on to hurt and bitterness.

Before long, these thoughts become habits, running through the mind without much attention.

Paul reminds us to take every thought captive and bring it under the authority of Christ.

Take it captive.

Those words carry real weight.

Negative thoughts will not simply disappear on their own.

We need to notice them and choose how to respond.

When a harmful thought comes to mind, pause and identify it.

Ask yourself whether it agrees with God's truth.

If it does not reflect what God says, choose a thought that does.

This takes practice, but over time, it can change the way you think and live.

A mind being renewed by God's truth is a precious gift you can nurture in your own life.

What thought keeps pulling you down that you need to recognize and bring under Christ's authority?
