How can my responses bring peace instead of conflict?
It takes very little to escalate a conflict.
A sharp tone, a dismissive word, an eye roll, a sarcastic reply.
We add fuel to fires we did not start, and then wonder why they keep burning.
Scripture offers a quiet superpower.
A gentle answer turns away wrath.
It does not match heat with heat.
It chooses to be the cooling voice in a heated room.
This is not weakness.
This is strength under remarkable control.
The next time you are tempted to fire back, pause.
Breathe.
Ask the Spirit for a gentle word.
You will be amazed how often a single soft answer changes the entire room.
